ALABAMA 2009 The State Tournament for Junior Boys will be held in Dothan while the Dixie Boys State Tournament is scheduled for Eufaula. The winner of the Junior Boys State Tournament will advance to Enterprise, AL. for the Junior Dixie Boys World Series. The Alabama Dixie Boys state champion earns a trip to the World Series in Seneca, SC. World Series play for Dixie Boys & Dixie Boys is slated for August 1-5. ** Pre-Majors and Majors State Tournaments will be played July 10-12. The South Pre-Majors State Tourney will be held in Thomasville while the Alabama North Pre-Majors State will be held in Guntersville. The South Majors State Tournament will also be held in Thomasville while Guntersville will also host the North Majors division. In 2009, both the Pre-Majors and the Majors North & South Tournament division champions will advance to play a best two out of three series. The state finals will be played in Tuscumbia-July 17-18. Schedules are available from the Alabama Dixie Majors Directors. The Alabama Pre-majors State Champion earns a trip to Ozark, Alabama for the World Series beginning July, 24th. While the Alabama Majors champion earns a trip to North Charleston, SC for the Majors World Series beginning July 24th.
SOUTH CAROLINA 2009- The Junior Boys State Tournament will be held in North Augusta while the Dixie Boys event is slated for Lexington. Both events start July 18th. The winner of the Junior Dixie Boys State Tournament advances to the Jr. Boys World Series in Enterprise, Al. while the Dixie Boys State Champion travels to Seneca, South Carolina for the 2009 Dixie Boys World Series. Both World Series in Dixie Boys divisions begin play on August 1. The Dixie Pre-Majors and Dixie Majors State Tournaments will start on Saturday, July 11th. The Pre-Majors tournament will be held in Dillon while the Majors State Tournament is scheduled for Green Sea Floyds.
TEXAS 2009- The Texas Junior Dixie Boys (age 13) State Tournament will begin July 11th in Kilgore. The winner of the Junior Boys (age 13) State Tournament advances to Enterprise, Alabama for the Junior Dixie Boys World Series. The Dixie Boys (age 13-14) North Tournament will be held in Sulphur Springs beginning July 11th while Marshall will host the Dixie Boys (age 13-14) South. The winner of the Dixie Boys (age 13-14) North and South will meet (location to be TBA) in a best of three series. The winner of this matchup will represent the State of Texas in the Dixie Boys World Series slated for Seneca, SC. *Tier II North and South (July 11th) and best of three (July 18th) with be held In Marshall. MISSISSIPPI 2009- Laurel-Jones County will host the Junior Dixie Boys State Tournament while Kosciusko is hosting the Dixie Boys Division.The Junior Boys Division will start on Saturday July 18th while the Boys will start on Friday, July 17th. Credentials meeting date will be posted later. The Mississippi Pre-Majors & Majors State Tournaments will be held in Laurel- July 11-16. The credentials meeting will be conducted July 10th at 7:00 pm.
VIRGINIA 2009- The Virginia Dixie Boys/Majors State Tournaments will be held in South Boston, Virginia. The Pre-Majors and Majors will play July 10-15, 2009. Games will be played at CH Friends Field and Halifax County High School. The Jr. Boys and Boys will start on Friday July 17-22, 2009. Games will be played at the South Boston Dixie Boys Complex. The Pre-Majors State Champion will advance to the World Series in Ozark, AL. starting July 25th. The Dixie Majors State Champion will advance to the World Series in North Charleston, SC starting on July 25th. The Jr. Boys State Champion will advance to the World Series in Enterprise, AL. staring on August 1 while the Dixie Boys State Champion will advance to the World Series in Seneca, South Carolina starting on August 1.
TENNESSEE 2009- All four of the 2009 Dixie Boys & Majors State Tournaments will be held in Dickson County at the Dan Buckner Park and High School Field beginning on July 10th (Friday) @ 4:00 pm. Credentials check will be at the Dickson County High School at 12 noon (Friday). All coaches must be present with the required rosters, pictures, birth certificates,parental releases and proof of insurance.
LOUISIANA 2009- The Junior Dixie Boys and Dixie Boys State Tournament will be held in Sulphur, Louisiana on July 18-23. Credentials check will be conducted on July 17th. The tournament held at McMurrary Park will begin with pool play followed by bracket play. The Pre-Majors and Majors State Tournaments will be held beginning July 11th in Independence, La.
ARKANSAS 2009- The Junior Boys and Dixie Boys State Tournaments will be played in Texarkana, Arkansas - The Junior Boys division will be held July 16th through July 21nd while the Boys will start July 17th and run through July 22nd. The Arkansas Pre-Majors & Majors State Tournaments will be held in Nashville beginning July 10th and running through the 14th of July. GEORGIA 2009- The Georgia Pre-Majors & Majors State Tournaments will be held beginning July 6th. The Recreational division tournament for Dixie Boys age division (13/14) will be held in Lamar County/Barnsville and Gwinnett County/Bunten Road Park, Duluth beginning June 20th. The Junior Boys Recreational Division (age 13) will also be held in Duluth on the same date. The Dixie Jr. Boys 13 year old State Championship Tournament will be played at City Pond Park starting July 11th, in Covington (Dual Participation). The Dixie Boys State Tournament is scheduled for LaGrange beginning July 11th at the George Harris Baseball Complex.
FLORIDA 2009- The Junior Boys and Dixie Boys State Tournaments will be played in Marianna, Florida- July 18th through July 22nd. The Florida Pre-Majors & Majors State Tournaments will be held in Winter Haven at the Chain of Lakes Stadium beginning July 11th and running through the 15th of July.
